It is important for artists to write down ideas, or create new art from ideas that come to them.
I had an idea to include leaves in a painting, which is not a new idea, but new for me. To my benefit, many people have written about how to preserve leaves in order for them to be used as materials in pieces of artwork. This made the preserving part easy.

I used the glycerin method, which worked well. Took roughly 6 days in the Glycerin solution.
I decided to create a tribute to the lifecycle of a Maple Leaf. Go Canada Go!
These leaves are now in a painting which will be posted to my website very soon!!
